Hello,
I have to build a software that will acquire the data from a S11, S21, S12 and S22 of a HP / Agilent E5071C. The software was going to get the data through through a USB- GPIB. However I just found out that Agilent analyzers have the run
time installed on them, and it will allow me to run a vxe on the analyzer.
I am trying to decide if I should write two programs. One on the pc that will provide a GUI is user login and so on. And a VEX that will just show me on the analyzer the S11, S21, S12 and S22 data. or should i just pull the data through the GPIB.
The one thing to keep in mind is the product under test has to also be tunned during testing. So i will need the data from the analyzer to be real time displayed on the PC in a easy mode using the Mete Indicator for the four measurements.
I just need your guys opinion on weather or not the data will be displayed fast enough on the pc from the analyzer, or if it will have a delay since there is a 15ms delay with GPIB and since i have 4 measurements on a split screen. the time from resuming the S11 to S22 and back to S11 will be to long and not really real time.
